This year’s American Advertising ADDY® Award Presentation for the Northeast Wisconsin region was held at the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay, WI. Image Studios acquired 5 Gold, 8 Silver and the highest honor, Best of Show ADDY® Award. The highest award was given to Image for their video production that was titled Solar Sinter. The production took place in the Moroccan Desert and
was created for the Kohler Company. Director of Photography Michael Leschisin filmed the artist Markus Kayser printing 3D objects using only sunlight and sand. Editor Ethan Daane used his creative vision to tell the artist’s story in a fascinating cinematic style.

Shane Van Boxtel won Gold and Silver ADDY® awards for his photography work for Affinity Healthcare, Castle Sales and Insight Magazine. Michael Leschisin won a Gold ADDY® for his photography series for Waupaca Foundry. Editor Ethan Daane won Gold ADDYs® for his editing work for Kohler Marine and Kohler Sensate videos. Silver ADDYs® were awarded for photography produced for CVS Pharmacy, and Michael Leschisin’s demo reel edited by Ethan Daane. Photographer Bill Kapinski also won a Silver ADDY® for his iPhoneography photo series. All work can be viewed on Image Studios’ Facebook page and website.
The American Advertising Awards are the largest creative competition in the world with over 40,000 local entries competing in 200 markets coast to coast. The mission of this awards competition is to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising. Gold and Silver winning entries at the local level are eligible for entry into the district competition. Image Studios is in District 8, which includes Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. Winners of a Gold or Silver ADDY® at the district level are eligible to advance and compete in the National Conference that will be held in Boca Raton, Florida in May.
