Image Studios Specializing in Architectural Photography – Turn Key
When Rouse Properties called and asked if we could photograph 30 commercial properties in 19 states across the country … AND have it completed in just one week, we said – “No Problem!” By shuffling schedules with our photo team and tapping into our network of freelance photographers, we made it happen! It took a team of 20 photographers, 7 retouchers and an experienced production team to pull it together, but in just one week we delivered over 700 retouched, high resolution images for their marketing and advertising needs!
Rouse Properties is a publicly traded real estate investment trust, headquartered in New York City. They are among the largest Mall owners in the U.S.

“Visions of Winter” A Collection by Rob Resnick

In our effort to celebrate the beauty and joy of the holiday season, Image Studios will be displaying a new collection in our studios’ gallery. We are proud to announce, “Visions of Winter,” a unique collection of Wisconsin landscapes by photographer and retoucher, Rob Resnick.
His photography reflects the peace and stillness of winter, with a continuous color palette of quiet blues and whites; and yet there is a mystery and warmth found within the small splashes of red and yellow, which blaze across the images. “Visions of Winter” includes images of ice boating, rustic barns, and tranquil landscapes from around the Midwest.
See it on display beginning December 5th and feel free to take in a tour of our studio while you’re here.
The History Museum at the Castle, Image Studios and Progressive Appleton
The IMAGE team is proud to announce our participation and contribution to The History Museum at the Castle‘s upcoming exhibit, Progressive Appleton: Through the Lens of W.D. Schlafer. The exhibit will open to the public on November 16, 2011. Not only will visitors see the original imagery of W.D. Schlafer, but photography from everyone at IMAGE! It was our assignment to photograph the city from the exact same perspective and angle as Schlafer’s images from over a century ago. It was great to be a part of this fascinating exploration into our city’s history. We enjoyed it so much that every one of our photographers took a part in capturing images of modern Appleton. So join us, and marvel at what has changed in our city, and what has lasted for over 100 years!
“The late nineteenth and early twentieth century was envisioned as a transition between the past and future. It was a time when dreams of controlled flight, automated factories, and electronic vehicles suddenly became common daily occurences. The exhibit, Progressive Appleton hinges on our city’s evolution from a fledgling rural community to a modern industrial center. Through a collection of 3,000 images, amateur photographer W.D. Schlafer captured this rapidly changing environment during the Progressive Era in Appleton.
Visitors to this exhibit will have the joy of seeing what life was like during this time period, and daily occurences including; the circus coming to town, the first flight in the Fox Cities, the opening day at the Woolworth’s ’5 and 10 store’, a factory explosion, and Appleton’s first presidential visit.” - Content courtesy of The History Museum at the Castle.

Image Studios Rules for a Perfect Corporate Headshot
At Image Studios we want you to look your best, so here are a few tips for getting that perfect Corporate Headshot.

Rule #1: Wardrobe
Your wardrobe choice is an important part of achieving a successful corporate portrait so choose it carefully. Go for something classic, timeless, and stick to solid colors. Guys, this applies to you too! You want to stay away from trendy styles and patterns that will date your photo. Last and most important, wear what you like. Still not sure what to wear? Bring an extra outfit. When in doubt, let our stylists help you out!

Rule #2 Make-Up
It’s o.k. to want to look fab for your photo, so get plenty of rest the night before your shoot to prevent dark circles under your eyes and drink lots of water to give your skin a healthy glow. Ladies, it’s fine to wear a little extra makeup for your headshot. An extra layer of blush and lipstick will help define your features. Oh, and guys, be prepared for us using a little face powder if we need to remove some shine!

Rule#3: Relax
Our photographers will make this a fun experience and put you at ease. If you let yourself relax and enjoy your session, you will look comfortable in your shot, allowing your personality to show through!

Image Archives
While going through the archives, we came across these black and white photos from a memorable shoot from 1988 for Neenah Paper. Photographer, Dave Wallace, Stylist, Lou Ann McCutcheon and Photo Assistant, Peter Hernandez had a great time standing in for a few captures following the shoot. Who do you think had more fun?
