Image Studios is proud to have been a part of the recent Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, which took place here in Northeast Wisconsin.  We welcomed the opportunity to donate services that would capture the progression of building a new home for the Arboleda family.  We will all look forward to when the episode airs this fall, September 26th.  Check out Lexington Homes.

The U.S. Oil Open raised an all-time high from the one day golf outing of $2,217,800, funds earmarked for the Fund For Basic Needs. In the 25-year history of the U.S. Oil Open, $12.6 million has been raised to fight the root causes of poverty through Northeast Wisconsin; dollars are granted to non-profit organizations through community foundations in Green Bay, Oshkosh and the Fox Valley. All of us at Image Studios are proud to be a part of their quarter century of giving by creating this video, with Mary Schmidt as the producer.  Kudos to DP Michael Leschisin and Editor Aaron Randerson  as well!

There are times you have to be willing to lay down and take a few shots in the face, to get the shot. This is exactly what Michael Leschisin did for two weeks in Atlanta while shooting for Briggs & Stratton.  We selected Atlanta Georgia as our destination for shooting, not only because they have an earlier Spring than we do here in Wisconsin, but because of their climate, and need for outdoor cleaning.  AD Mary Jo Kruger with Monarch Creative is shown above in this “behind the scene” shot, getting a better view as she leans over Michael.  Below, is a capture from that series.

Some days at Image are a little less glamorous than others, but the opportunities and variety  of what we shoot, and the interesting people we meet are hard to beat.  Michael Leschisin is seen here shooting a corporate video for United Rentals in Montreal.

Yamaha Outboard Motors has been a valued customer of Image Studios for over 20 years and Glen Hartjes recently had the opportunity to photograph the Yamaha Pro Anglers. Check out the new www.yamaha-motor.com website and all their pros.  Dean Rojas has competed as a Yamaha Pro Angler for 12 years and holds world fishing records. While Glen has been shooting the outboard motors for many years, having the opportunity to meet and photograph the Yamaha Pro Anglers that power the high performance engines was a fun experience.  It’s not every day you get to hear real fish tales from the Pros. Meridian Studios found a number of conveniences shooting at Image,  from driving their production truck into our studio for unloading equipment, to the use of our dressing rooms and full service kitchen.  Renting additional equipment was also convenient.

Jim Weiland and Bill Kapinski had fun photographing the Xavier Boy’s Football team.

They rounded up the group at a local farm to capture this shot of the Good Ol’ Boys.

Midwest Living Magazine asked us to shoot a story for them that took us to Grayslake, Illinois, where we photographed a Sunday flea market. If you want to know the rest of the story, you’ll have to wait for the publication to hit the stands. The location was ideal for this event and there were great buys, friendly vendors, and unique items everywhere at this newly constructed fair grounds of Grayslake.  It was hard to resist all the rare and unique antiques and collectables while shooting, and Shane couldn’t help spotting this treasure for himself.   Grayslake Antique Market

Wisconsin established a Rustic Roads program in 1973 to preserve the scenic roads of the great state of Wisconsin. The Rustic Roads are marked with brown and yellow signs for bikers, hikers and motorists. Glen Hartjes made it his quest to travel all 107 marked Rustic Roads covering over 600 miles in 56 counties. He traveled all 107 roads in just 3 weeks. Now you do the math.

Like any great photographer, getting up early to find that perfect light was part of what made the days very special. Glen discovered covered bridges, old barns, wildlife and enchanted roads along the way like you see here with his bike.  If you tune in to his blog at glensimages.blogspot.com you will continue to see new postings of his beautiful captures during his travels.  Glen calls his postings, “Scenes from the Road.”  His images just might inspire you to seek out those brown and yellow signs you might have been overlooking all these years.  Find out more about what makes a Rustic Road a Rustic Road at www.dot.wisconsin.gov .

Image Studios is a proud supporter of the United Way Fox Cities and once again we were excited to produce a video that will help with their mission. We want to thank all the people that played a part in the video, and for helping us to make it all happen.  The video production was a great team effort for everyone at Image Studios.  Special thanks to Steve Blecka as our Director and Editor.

The United Way works every day to advance common good. Their goal is to create long-lasting changes in areas such as mental health, uninsured and under-insured, and assistance for those hurt by domestic violence and sexual assault.

Sometimes the job requires jumping in the pool to get the shot. Shane Van Boxtel had a vision in mind for creating the cover shot for Fox Cities Magazine swimsuit issue this year. The swim cap was his personal find, and combined with the beautiful face of Chris Hanson, President, Hanson Benefits, the shoot proved great results.

Image Studios teamed up with the Weidert Group to create this very fun video for our long-time client, Hoffmaster. The Weidert Group and Hoffmaster came up with a brilliant idea to produce an integrated campaign for an upcoming trade show; as part of that campaign we produced this video to help promote their napkin brand.  Who said napkins had to be serious stuff?  The video was shot in our studio and our talent, Nate, was discovered locally.  You can find this video on youtube…and watch for more episodes with this character!

Great shots like this don’t happen by accident.  When Scott Kane from The Karma Group wanted to create a dynamic cover image for Pierce Manufacturing, he knew it would take some expert planning and a photographer that could nail the shot.   Glen Hartjes worked with Scott to scout the perfect location a day prior to the shoot and once the location was decided, the window of shooting time was also determined.  The beauty of having years of experience in this industry also comes with having the resources and recall for great locations.  Scott and Glen had a great shoot at the Sherwood Elevator that Friday evening.  One shot was all they needed for the Pierce Manufacturing cover, but it was hard for Glen to stop at just one great shot. They wrapped up by having a classic Wisconsin fish fry next door.  See all the shots here at Glen’s Blog.
